Arizona
I’ll be moving to the California Arizona border here in a few weeks. I’m returning to the desert after a five year stint in someplace much colder and wetter.
One of the attractions I have for Louis L’amour’s writing is his passion for the desert. He loves it and writes of it the way that a man might write about a woman. I too love the desert. I love the warmth, the dry air and the rugged beauty. Waking up and knowing that there will be a cloudless, sunshiny day is a feeling of comfort that I have always enjoyed.
Those who complain about the heat never spent new year’s day ice fishing with wet shoes and fingers nearing frostbite. Get a hat, some light clothes, and find a shady spot. Sip away the afternoon and stay up late into the evening enjoying the sunset and the stars.
No, no, no. You don’t want to move to Arizona. Why do you want to move to Arizona. I’m trying my best to get OUT of here.
